History Of AFG

The first all-girls organization in the high school was called Girl Reserves, which became the Y-Teens organization in 1947. Its purpose was to teach fellowship, receive superior scholarship, create high morals, and develop charm and social poise. In 1988, the Y-Teens club dropped their national affiliation with the YWCA because of cost and created a new club called AFG (All For Girls). Through this organization, which meets once a month, the girls learn how to better themselves.
