Ag Science  (Grade 9-12) Prerequisite


Course work includes basic instruction in animal sciences, plant sciences, horticulture, agriculture mechanics technologies, FFA, SAE, leadership skills and an overview of agriculture career opportunities.

 

 

 

 

Ag Welding I (Grades 10-12)


This course is offered to provide students knowledge and skill in the area of metal fabrication. Emphasis is placed on all the welding processes commonly used in the Ag Industry. Time will be split between the classroom and the lab. The classroom time will cover metallurgy, personal safety, joint design, welding machines, accessories, and welding processes. The lab is where students will learn and perfect the skill component of the course. Part of the second semester will provide time for students to construct individual metal projects.

 

 

 

 

Ag Welding II (Grades 11-12)


This course is offered to provide students knowledge and skill in the area of metal fabrication. Emphasis is placed on all the welding processes commonly used in the Ag Industry. A majority of the class time is for students to construct individual metal projects, which utilize the skills learned in Ag Welding I.

 

 

 

Small Gas Engines (Grades 11-12)


Students will explore career options in small gas engines, safety in the small gas engine shop, tools and measuring instruments, fasteners, sealants, and gaskets, two-Cycle and four cycle engines.
